Richard “Dick” May, 72, of Goshen, died early Tuesday morning, February 26, 2008, at Goshen General Hospital. He was born in Milford, Indiana, on July 8, 1935, to Amos and Mary (Heckman) May. He married Sandra D. Bradbury on October 3, 1964, in Warsaw. She survives. Mr. May, a graduate of Leesburg High School, served with the US Army in Guam as an electrical engineer. He worked at Essex Wire for 20 years and was self-employed for another 20 years as a delivery service for the former Duplex. He also delivered custom vans throughout the US. He was a member of the American Legion; the Goshen DAV; the Goshen Masonic Lodge; the South Bend Scottish Rite and the Mizpah Shrine in Fort Wayne. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; a step-daughter, Sonja J. (Gary) Cotherman of Goshe; two step-sons, Danny H. Bradbury of Elkhart and Johnny W. (Millie) Bradbury of Etna, Indiana; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Kehr. A 5:30 p.m. Masonic service will be conducted before the 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, February 28, visitation at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 29, 2008, funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home. John Piecuch, Quarter Master at the Goshen VFW will officiate. Burial will be in Leesburg Cemetery, Leesburg. Memorial contributions may be given to the Shriners’ Crippled Children’s Hospital.
