Richard Lewis Lamb, 84, of Goshen, died Friday evening, April 13, 2012, at Courtyard Healthcare. He was born May 14, 1927 in Goshen to Merle and Jennie (Miller) Lamb. He married Laura A. McDonough June 16, 1950 in Goshen. She died April 13, 2011. He is survived by two daughters, Catherine (Steven) Brandenberger of Middlebury, and Carrie (Lloyd) Brubaker of Goshen; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Freda Stamper of Phoenix, Arizona. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Charles, Floyd, Jonas, Ernest and Merle Lamb. A lifetime Goshen resident, Mr. Lamb was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Goshen, and a World War II veteran. A fireman, Mr. Lamb served in many different positions with the Goshen Fire Department. At the time of his retirement he was a fire code inspector. Friends may call 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 16, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. An 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 17, 2012, memorial service will be conducted at Trinity Lutheran Church, Goshen. A private family burial will take place at Violett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
