Richard “Dick” Edwards, 75, of Goshen died Saturday, June 25, 2022 at his residence.
He was born November 20, 1946 in Goshen to Donald A. and Betty L. (Bowersox) Edwards. They preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, Timothy (Jeri) Edwards, Middlebury and Troy (Elisabeth) Edwards, Avon; a grandson, Fox; a brother, Donald, Jr. (Jackie) Edwards, Colorado; and a sister, Dawn (Dave) Edwards Miller, California.
A 1964 graduate of Goshen High School, Mr. Edwards was a U.S. Army veteran.
He worked as a metallurgist at Johnson Controls for more than 35 years before retirement. Always active, Dick was a long-time member of Maplecrest Country Club, where he is most known for holding the amateur course record of 64 (32-32) that he shot on July 9, 1986. He was inducted into the Maplecrest Hall of Fame in 2003.
Besides being an avid golfer, Dick enjoyed fishing, reading, and working on crossword puzzles.
Visitation will be Friday, July 8, 2022 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, prior to the Celebration of Life Memorial service at 4 p.m.
Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory.
