Richard L. "Dick" Davidson, 77, of Howe, died Sunday morning, October 21, 2012, at Parkview LaGrange Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born December 9, 1934, in Plymouth, to Edward and Edna (Harris) Davidson. He is survived by his longtime companion, Betty Halsey; two sons, Richard (Sharon) Davidson of Sturgis and Joe Davidson of Howe; a grandson, Richard E. Davidson II; two sisters, Barbara (Larry) McCan and Darla Carlberg, both of Plymouth; and two brothers, Lyle "Skip" (Fran) Davidson and Ronnie (Barbara) Davidson, both of Lexington, Ky. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Donald, Junior, and Chester. He worked at Hotcap Industries, Bremen, for many years. He was a member of the U.S. Trotting Association and was well known for racing standard breds through out Indiana, Michigan and Illinois. Friends may call 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where a 11:30 a.m. funeral service will take place. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
