Richard "Dick" D. Miller

Richard “Dick” D. Miller, 52, of Goshen died late Friday morning, April 6, 2007, at Goshen General Hospital, after a lengthy illness.   He was born July 27, 1954, in Warsaw, Indiana, to the late Clemen C.B. Miller, Jr. and Polly (Eash) Miller Wilson of Goshen.  He married Irene Kay Blosser on September 15, 1973, at Goshen City Church of the Brethren.  She survives.   A Goshen resident since 1973, he worked 11 years as a draftsman for Foamcraft in Goshen.  He had also worked at Duplex for 10 years.  A member of Goshen City Church of the Brethren, he did woodworking and leather making.  He enjoyed the outdoors, was a boy scout as a youth, and was active at one time with the Goshen Boys and Girls Club. He is survived by his wife, Irene; his mother, Polly Miller Wilson of Goshen; three daughters, Takesha (Jon) Stoll, March (Andy) Showalter, and Carla (Tony) Henderson, all of Goshen; seven grandchildren; and his step-mother, Mary Weaver Miller of Eustis, Florida.  Also surviving are two sisters, Freda Miller of Mishawaka, and Melody Kehr of Goshen; and five brothers, Delbert Miller, LaVern (Debbie) Miller, both of Goshen, Dale Miller of Fort Wayne, Delbert (Kit) Miller and DeWayne (Michelle) Miller, both of Middlebury.   He was preceded in death by his father and an infant sister, Esther Arlene Miller.   Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, April 9, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.   A 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 10, 2007, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor Yvonne Riege of Goshen City Church of the Brethren and former pastor of the church, Rev. Phyllis Carter will officiate.   Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Goshen Boys and Girls Club.
