Richard E. Brumbaugh, 88 of Goshen, died Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at his home. He was born to Chester and Ethel (Monroe) Brumbaugh on October 8, 1920 In Knox, Indiana. He married Florence E. Lahr in Goshen on November 6, 1943. She survives. Richard retired from Mogul Rubber Company in Goshen after 47 years of service. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Goshen; a 1939 graduate of Milford High School where played basketball. His hobbies were fishing, bowling and basketball. He is survived by two daughters, Nancy Ann (Sam) Varnado of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Deanna Kay (Ray) Cochell of Spring Valley, California; and two sons, Steven Lee (Lois) Brumbaugh of Goshen, and Gary Lynn Brumbaugh of New Paris. He was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Bellaire, and twin brothers, Ronald and Donald Brumbaugh. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 27, 2009 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 28, 2009 funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. John Hickey of Trinity United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Milford Cemetery Memorials may be given to Trinity Unity Methodist Church.
