Reyes Carlos Morales Mellado

Reyes Carlos Morales Mellado, de 50 años, residente de Goshen, falleció el 24 de julio de 2026 en el Hospital de Goshen.

Reyes Carlos nació el 22 de abril de 1976 en Calpulalpan, Tlaxcala, México, hijo de Mercedes Mellado Sánchez y Reyes Morales García.

Junto con sus padres, a Reyes lo recuerdan con profundo amor su dedicada esposa, Laura (Pérez) Morales, y sus hijos, Carlos, Saúl, Cristina y Arianna, quienes fueron la alegría más grande de su vida. Le sobreviven también sus hermanas, Patricia, Angélica, Miriam y Erica Morales Mellado, además de muchos otros familiares y queridos amigos que guardarán por siempre su memoria con cariño.

Un trabajador incansable que se desempeñó como técnico de servicio en la industria de casas rodantes (RV), Reyes creía en ganarse la vida con honestidad y nunca dudó en tenderle la mano a quien lo necesitara. Ya fuera un amigo, un vecino o un desconocido, siempre estuvo dispuesto a brindar su tiempo, su fuerza y hasta la camisa que traía puesta. Su espíritu generoso y su corazón servicial tocaron incontables vidas. También fue un excelente soldador y carnicero. Reyes era muy conocido por su ingenio para reparar cualquier cosa que hiciera falta en la casa.

Quienes conocieron a Reyes recordarán su cálida sonrisa, su risa franca y la manera en que podía alegrar hasta el día más difícil. Llevaba con orgullo el sobrenombre de “Sonris”, aunque muchos amigos también lo conocían como “Pistache”, en honor al apodo de su papá. Siempre tenía una sonrisa contagiosa y alegre. Encontraba felicidad en hacer reír a los demás y poseía una amabilidad serena que hacía sentir bienvenido a cualquiera. Por encima de todo, Reyes fue un padre ejemplar que amó a sus hijos con todo el corazón. Fue el orgulloso abuelo de 5 nietos: Reyes Andrés, Reyes Fabián, Reyes Vicente, Karla y Roselí. Su familia lo era todo para él.

Reyes tenía un talento extraordinario para trabajar con las manos y era famoso por sus deliciosos tacos. Sumamente listo y mañoso para el trabajo, podía reparar casi cualquier cosa, encontrando casi siempre soluciones creativas y originales para los problemas más difíciles. Su determinación, astucia y disposición para ayudar a los demás lo convertían en la persona a la que todos acudían cuando necesitaban un consejo o un paro.

Fue un hombre que se preocupaba mucho más por el bienestar de sus seres queridos que por el suyo propio. Su vida fue un hermoso ejemplo de generosidad, humildad y amor incondicional. Aunque su ausencia dolerá profundamente, los recuerdos que dejó, las risas que compartió y el amor que entregó tan libremente permanecerán en el corazón de todos los que lo conocieron.

La velación se llevará a cabo el domingo 2 de agosto de 2026, de 1:00 p. m. a 2:00 p. m. en la funeraria Yoder Culp Funeral Home. El servicio fúnebre comenzará a las 2:00 p. m., oficiado por el padre Fernando Jiménez. Al terminar el servicio, se continuará con la velación hasta las 6:00 p. m.

Reyes será recordado siempre por su amoroso corazón, su sonrisa contagiosa, su inquebrantable entrega a su familia y los innumerables actos de bondad con los que hizo del mundo un lugar mejor. Su legado de amor y compasión vivirá en todos los que tuvieron la bendición de conocerlo.

Reyes Carlos Morales Mellado, 50, of Goshen, passed away on July 24, 2026, at Goshen Hospital.

He was born on April 22, 1976, in Calpulalpan, Tlaxcala, Mexico, to Mercedes Mellado Sanchez and Reyes Morales Garcia.

Along with his parents, Reyes is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Laura (Perez) Morales and his children, Carlos, Saul, Cristina, Arianna, and who were the greatest joys of his life. He is also survived by his siblings, Patricia, Angelica, Miriam, and Erica Morales Mellado, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

A hardworking Service Technician by trade in the RV Industry, Reyes believed in earning an honest living and never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Whether a friend, neighbor, or stranger, he was always willing to share his time, his strength, and even the shirt off his back. His generous spirit and selfless heart touched countless lives. He was also an amazing welder and butcher. Reyes was known for being able to creatively fix anything that needed to be done around the house.

Those who knew Reyes will remember his warm smile, his easy laughter, and the way he could brighten even the hardest day. He proudly held the nickname “Sonris” to some, but many friends also knew him as “Pistache” in honor of his father’s nickname. He always had a warm and exuberant smile. He found joy in making others laugh and carried a quiet kindness that made everyone around him feel welcome. Above all else, Reyes was a devoted father who loved his children with all his heart. He was a proud grandfather of 5; Reyes Andres, Reyes Fabian, Reyes Vicente, Karla and Roselí. His family meant everything to him.

Reyes had a remarkable gift for working with his hands and was famous for his amazing tacos. Exceptionally clever and resourceful, he could repair almost anything, often finding creative and unconventional solutions to even the most difficult problems. His determination, ingenuity, and willingness to help others made him someone people naturally turned to when they needed advice or assistance.

He was a man who worried far more about the well-being of those he loved than he ever did about himself. His life was a beautiful example of generosity, humility, and unconditional love. Though his presence will be deeply missed, the memories he created, the laughter he shared, and the love he gave so freely will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Yoder Culp Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Father Fernando Jimenez officiating. Additional visitation will follow the service until 6:00 p.m.

Reyes will be remembered always for his loving heart, his infectious smile, his unwavering devotion to his family, and the countless acts of kindness that made the world a better place. His legacy of love and compassion will live on in all who were blessed to know him.
