Rex A. Shriner

Rex A. Shriner, 64, of New Paris, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017 at his home.

He was born July 15, 1953 in Goshen to Albert and Thelma (Robinson) Shriner.

On July 22, 1978 he married Christy Sweatland.  She died Aug. 2, 2014.

Survivors include two daughters, Megan Fuller of Bristol and Carrie (Joseph) Pippin of New Paris; two grandchildren, Jillian and Greyson Pippin; a sister, Dorothy (Robert) Paul of Plymouth; two brothers, Robert “Bob” (Tami) Shriner of New Paris and Richard (Colleen) Shriner of Goshen; and a girlfriend, Lisa Lopez of Goshen.

Along with his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents.

A lifelong area resident, he was a member of the Nappanee Conservation Club. He worked as a product manager for New Paris Telephone for 45 years.

A Celebration of Life will take place Thursday, December 28, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Schrock Pavilion, Shanklin Park, Goshen.

Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory, Goshen.
