Rex L. Hollinger

Rex. L. Hollinger, 80, of Goshen died Friday, July 17, 2020 at The Maples at Waterford Crossing.

He was born November 21, 1939 in Goshen to Jack E. and Marguerite A. (Bowersox) Hollinger.

On November 6, 1965 he married Paula Smith in Goshen.

She survives along with two sons, Rich (Jesica) Hollinger of Attica and Jon (Trang Nyuyen) Hollinger of Goshen; four grandchildren, Jessica and Hunter Hollinger, Christine Myers and Sydney Webb; two sisters, Jacqueline (Ray) Yoder of Sarasota, Florida and Sylvia (John) Hicks of Carthage, North Carolina; and a sister-in-law, Ada Hollinger of Florida.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Jimmy Ray Hollinger.

A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Hollinger taught science and human anatomy at Fairfield Community Schools.  He was an avid golfer and enjoyed studying the Bible thoroughly.

Rex was a cat person; he loved and rescued many that came into his life.

Friends and family will meet Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home at 11 a.m. to drive in procession to Rock Run Cemetery, Goshen for a graveside service.
