Rebecca "Meme" J. Carroll

Rebecca “Meme” J. Carroll, 71, Goshen, died Friday, July 28, 2017, at Goshen Hospital.

She was born October 23, 1945 in Elkhart to Fredrick “Fritz” and Clara (Weaver) VonBlon.

Survivors include six children, Larry (Sun) Staton of Cromwell, Lisa Hopkins of Goshen, Penny (Lowell) Klett of Middlebury, Teresa (Kelvin) Williams of Goshen, Rebecca (Guy) Staples of Larwill and Cathy Staton of Goshen; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and five siblings, Fred (Pat) VonBlon of Millersburg, Nelda (Dennis) Steele of New Paris, Carolyn Shetler of Goshen, Randy Brubaker of Daytona Beach, Florida and Ted DeAubrey of San Antonio, Texas.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Wallace and brothers, Mel VonBlon and Steve Brubaker.

A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Carroll was a member of Prairieview Missionary Church.

Her greatest loves in life were her children, grandchildren and family.  She enjoyed putting puzzles together with family and friends.  She had a special love for her job at KMC Controls and her co-workers.

Friends may call Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 2 funeral service will be held.  Pastor Phil Jerome will officiate.

Burial will follow in Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier.

Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society.
