Raymond Y. Schrock, 87, of Goshen, died Thursday morning, April 2, 2009, at Greencroft Healthcare. He was born in Arthur, Illinois, on March 28, 1922, to Yost and Tillie (Miller) Schrock. He married Cora E. Yoder on December 21, 1946, in Arthur. She survives. A brick mason, Mr. Schrock was a member of Holdeman Mennonite Church. He served in Civilian Public Service from 1942 to 1946 in Lapine, Oregon and Terry, Montana. He is survived by his wife, Cora; four daughters, Julie A. (Tom) Gunden of Milford, Janet S. (Bill) Carney of Scottsdale, Arizona, Gail K. (Mark) Neumann of Metamora, Illinois, and Marcia J. (Randy) Hershberger of Wakarusa; three sons, Meril D. Schrock of Scottsdale, Arizona, W. Alan Schrock and Timothy R. Schrock both of Elkhart; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Rachel Yoder and Alma Schrock both of Arthur, Illinois, and Anna (Wilmer) Miller of Elkhart; and three brothers, Simon (Marie) Schrock of Arthur, Illinois, Yost (Ella) Schrock, Jr., of Sarasota, Florida, and Levi (Norma) Schrock of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Lizzie Helmuth, Gertie Beachy and Hilda Yoder. Friends may call 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday, April 5, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Monday at Holdeman Mennonite Church, 65723 CR 1, Wakarusa. A Monday, April 6, 2009, funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m., at the church. Pastors Danny Jones and B.J. Leichty will officiate. Burial will be in Olive Cemetery, Wakarusa. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holdeman Mennonite Church Building Fund or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
