Raymond A. Schreck

Raymond A. Schreck, 57, of New Paris, died Saturday morning, August 19, 2006, at his home.   He was born January 4, 1949, in Goshen, Indiana, to Raymond A. Schreck Sr., and Marie (Baer) Schreck.  On May 3, 1969, he married Lois Ann Baum in Goshen.  She died April 5, 1994.  He then married Dorothy Crilow on March 23, 1996.  She survives.   Mr. Schreck lived most of his life in the Goshen area.  He did live in Terre Haute from 1972 to 1994.  He worked for Haulmark in Bristol as a parts manager and delivered The Truth newspaper.   A 1967 graduate of Wakarusa High School and a graduate of Indiana State University,  he attended Yellow Creek Mennonite Church.  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1971.   Mr. Schreck is survived by his wife, Dorothy; a son, Kevin (Nikki) Schreck of Elkhart, Indiana; a daughter, Karen (Dustin) Martin of Goshen; two step-sons, Brent (Wendy) Nunemaker of Millersburg, Indiana, and Travis (Trista) Nunemaker of Middlebury, Indiana; and a step-daughter, Carla (Chad) Richer of Middlebury, Indiana.  He is also survived by a grandchild; eight step-grandchildren; and a brother, Kenton (Sally) Schreck.   He was preceded in death by his first wife and a brother, Phillip A. Schreck in 2004.   Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 23 and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, Goshen.   A 10:00 a.m., funeral service will be conducted at the Yellow Creek Mennonite Church on Thursday, August 24, 2006.  Burial will follow in Yellow Creek Cemetery.   Memorial contributions may be given to the Yellow Creek Mennonite Church.
