Raymond "Ray" L. Harshberger

Raymond “Ray” L. Harshberger, 66, of Corpus Christi, Texas, died early Wednesday morning, July 30, 2008, at Doctor’s Hospital in Corpus, Christi. He was born in Middlebury Township on November 1941, to Leo and Viola Harshberger.  He married Dorothy “Dottie” Lynch on January 9, 1992.  She survives. Mr. Harshberger, a master electrician, was owner and operator of Ray’s Heating, Air and Electric for over 30 years in Corpus Christi. A five year cancer survivor, Mr. Harshberger is survived by his wife, Dottie; his mother, Viola Harshberger of Millersburg; three sisters, Mary Louis Jones of White Cloud, Michigan, Violet (Robert) Peachy of Millersburg, and Jane (Elva) Yoder of Goshen; three step-children, Cheri Slocum, Samuel (Stacia) Lynch and Tracy (Drew) Evans, all of Texas; and eight step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Harshberger; a sister, Ida Ellen Harshberger; and a nephew, Rodney Peachy. Friends may call 3 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, August 5, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 6, 2008, funeral service will be conducted at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor Ron Diener and Deacon Norman Maust, both of Pleasant View Mennonite Church, Goshen, will officiate. Burial will be in Miller 8 Square Cemetery, Goshen. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
