Raymond Eugene Dobson

Raymond E. Dobson, 70, of Millersburg, died unexpectedly early Sunday morning, September 25, 2011, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born July 8, 1941 in Hindman, Kentucky, to the late Ewell and Abby Dobson. He married Mary K. Blowers August 21, 1965 in Virginia. She survives. Also surviving are a son, Roscoe E. Dobson of Millersburg; five grandchildren, Ryan, Justin, Jordan, and Ashley Dobson and Nick Norris; and a brother, Roy (Shirley) Dobson of Brimfield. He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Dobson in 1990; two sisters and a brother. A resident of the area since 1959, Mr. Dobson worked for Starcraft for 22 years and then for Holiday Rambler, retiring in 2004 as a foreman in 2004. A graduate of Coria High School, Kentucky, he was in a bowling league while working at Starcraft and then in a golf league while working at Holiday Rambler. He enjoyed fishing and camping. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, September 27, and one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday at the funeral home. A 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 28, 2011, funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Glen Patrick at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Following the funeral service cremation will take place.
