Ramona K. Mahler, 83, of Goshen died Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Greencroft Healthcare.
She was born June 6, 1939 in Bay Port, Michigan to Joseph and Orpha (Stevanus) Wertz.
On July 6, 1972 she married Charles S. Mahler in Elkhart. He died June 29, 1982.
She is survived by her son, Scott E. Mahler of Goshen, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nova J. Miller; and three brothers, Willard Wertz, R. Dale Wertz, and Donald Wertz.
A 1957 graduate of Eastern Mennonite High School, Harrisonburg, Virginia, Ramona attended one year at Eastern Mennonite (College) University, before serving two years of voluntary service at the Kansas City, Kansas Children’s Home.
Mrs. Mahler worked for Mennonite Mutual Aid, now known as Everence, and was a long-time member of Beulah Missionary Church, Goshen. She enjoyed listening to music, reading, baking for others, and was always ready for a good laugh.
Friends and family will gather Sunday, August 14, 2022 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen for an informal time of sharing and visitation.
According to her wishes, her cremated remains will be interred at Brown Cemetery, Millersburg.
