Ralph Berkey, Sr.

Ralph Berkey, Sr., 76, of Goshen, died Saturday, June 29, 2024 surrounded by his family.

He was born February 14, 1948 in Goshen to Glen Daniel and Anna Belle (Juday) Berkey.

He is survived by two children, Carrie Guantonio, Elkhart, and Ralph Berkey, Jr., Elkhart; a granddaughter, Andrea Guantonio, Elkhart; a great-granddaughter, Emily Barrick, Elkhart; and five siblings, Belva Belcher and Ruby (Dewayne) Miller, both of Goshen, Deloris “Dede” (Gilbert) Beemer, Heiskell, Tennessee, Vada Berkey, Middlebury, and Jeff (Betty) Berkey, New Paris.

He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Guantonio; a brother, Thomas Warren Berkey; a sister, Mary Kathrine Lyman Bartholomew; and a brother-in-law, Richard Berkey.

Ralph was an avid motorcycle rider and Notre Dame fan, enjoyed race car mechanic and Peddlers Auction on Thursdays. He worked for Thompson’s Towing for many years.

A celebration of life will take place Sunday, July 7, 2024 from 4 to 6 p.m., at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

A private burial will take place at Rock Run Cemetery.
