Ralph R. Noel

Ralph R. Noel, 96, of Goshen, died Thursday afternoon, July 19, 2007, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing. He was born in Goshen on February 25, 1911, to Ira and Cora (Raffensperger) Noel.  He married Alberta V. Smolinski on October 25, 1936 in Milford.  She preceded him on March 29, 1989. Mr. Noel was Office Manager for Western Union until his retirement.  He was a member of the First English Lutheran Church, Goshen; and Rotary Club in Sarasota, Florida. He is survived by a daughter, Susan Noel of Elkhart; a grandson, Jeremy Wax of Seffner, Florida, and a brother, Samuel Noel of Goshen. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Mamie Frederick, Elma Court, Mary Reed and Helen Silver. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, July 22, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. A 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 23, 2007, funeral service will be conducted at First English Lutheran Church, Goshen.  Rev. Richard Dunning will officiate. Burial will be in Elkhart Prairie Cemetery, Goshen. Memorials may be given to First English Lutheran Church or Oaklawn.
