Ralph E. Juday Ralph E. Juday, 87, of Goshen, died early Saturday morning, April 22, 2006, at Goshen General Hospital. He had been ill since December. He was born July 25, 1918, in Goshen, Indiana, to Russell and Goldie (Mishler) Juday. On September 14, 1940, in Goshen, he married Geraldine A. Thomas. She survives. A 1937 graduate of Goshen High School, Mr. Juday is a Navy veteran, having served in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba from 1944- 1946. He retired from the Goshen City Fire Department in 1970 after 20 years of service. He then worked for Goshen Cushion Company. A lifelong area resident, Mr. Juday was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the VFW Post #985, the Goshen Elks Lodge #798 and the Goshen American Legion Post #30. He is survived by a daughter, Jackie (Jim) Boyland of Elkhart; two sons, David M. (Pam) Juday of Elkhart, and Tom (Mary Ann) Juday of South Bend, Indiana; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Harold (Ann) Juday of South Bend, Indiana and Bob (Janice) Juday of Goshen; and a half-brother, Clyde (Shonne) Durr of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Kindig and a half-sister, Betty Troyer. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 25, at the funeral home. A 4:00 p.m. Wake Service will be on Tuesday. Father John Delaney of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church will preside over the 10:00 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, April 26, 2006, funeral service at the church. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen, where military graveside services will be conducted by Goshen Veterans’ Organizations. Memorial contributions may be made to the Goshen VFW Post #985.
