Ralph Elmore

Ralph Elmore, 77, of Goshen, died Sunday, March 20, 2011, at his home. He was born August 22, 1933 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, to the late John T. and Arizona (Brooks) Elmore.  He married Devera Jane Evans on November 13, 1953 in Muncie. She passed away December 6, 2010. He is survived by three daughters, Zonea (Gary) Bainter of Bristol, Mary (Lavone) Miller of Milford, and Terri (Randy) Sizemore of New Paris; a son, Ralph Michael (Joan) Elmore of Goshen; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Conrad, Clint and Homer Elmore; and two sisters, Burl Elmore and Edith Proctor. A Goshen resident since 1952 and a member of the West Goshen Church of the Brethren, Mr. Elmore owned and operated R & D Small Engine Repair.  He also worked at Goshen Rubber, Delta Mobile Homes and Goshen Community Schools, retiring in 1995.  He served from 1953-56 with the US Army and was a member of the VFW Post 985. Friends may call 3 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 24, 2011, funeral service will be conducted.  Pastor Norm Replogle, West Goshen Church of the Brethren, will officiate. Burial, with graveside military honors, will be at Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to Goshen Care at Home Hospice.
