Quinten Lee Helmuth, 60, of Bristol, died Sunday afternoon, December 6, 2009, at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born in Goshen on January 17, 1949, to Raymond and Ida (Bontrager) Helmuth. Mr. Helmuth had done assembly work at ADEC and attended First Mennonite Church in Middlebury. He loved to play basketball and watch football. He participated in Special Olympics. He is survived by his mother, Ida Helmuth of Goshen; three sisters, Edna (Tom) Van Diepenbos of New Paris, Indiana, Darlene (Jim) Mishler of Shipshewana, Indiana, and ShirleyLewis of LaGrange, Indiana; and two brothers, Trennis “Tony” (Irene) Helmuth of Goshen, and Leland “Lee” (Connie) Helmuth of Grabill, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Helmuth. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, December 9, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. A 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 10, 2009, funeral service will be conducted at Waterford Mennonite Church, with Pastor Jeremy Helmuth of Central Church, Fort Wayne and Pastor Neil Amstutz of Waterford Mennonite Church officiating. Burial will follow in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to ADEC.
