Quellen Oris Roberts

Quellen Oris “Holly” Roberts, 87, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, died Sunday, November 9, 2008, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing, in Goshen, where he was admitted on November 7, 2008.  He was born in Billings, West Virginia, on September 11, 1921 to Homer Virgil and Bertha Della (Callow) Roberts.  He married Lana Justin Holcomb in Spencer, West Virginia on August 27, 1945.  She survives.   Mr. Roberts was a retired minister.  He last served in Spencer, West Virginia.   He is survived by his wife; two sons, David (Peggy) Roberts of Parkersburg, West Virginia and Rev. Gary Lee (Phyllis) Roberts, of Goshen; three grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, William Roberts and Charles (Margie) Roberts, both of Parkersburg, West Virginia, and two sisters, Betty Boyd, of Vienna, West Virginia, and Mary (George) Creighton, of Nitro, West Virginia.   He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Juanita Roberts and Geraldine Davis.    Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, November 12, 2008, and one hour prior to the service at Kimes Funeral Home, Parkersburg, West Virginia.   A 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 13, 2008 funeral service will be conducted at Kimes Funeral Home.  His son, Rev. Gary Roberts, grandson, Rev. Ronnie Roberts, and Rev. Ray Seebaugh, will officiate.   Burial will be in the Fairview Church Cemetery in Roanne County, West Virginia.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fairview Cemetery Association.
