In Loving Memory of Poeun Thong

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Poeun Thong, age 68, on November 25, 2024, following a sudden intraventricular hemorrhage. He passed at Elkhart General Hospital.

Poeun was a devoted partner to Thuon Thang and a proud father to his son, Tony Ngam, godfather to Dany Nhol, and grand godfather to, Sovannarith “James” Nhol. His love for his family was immeasurable, and he worked tirelessly to provide and care for them. Poeun’s gentle spirit, warmth, and kindness touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He had a quiet strength that inspired those around him, and his generosity and compassion knew no bounds. Whether through a listening ear, a helping hand, or simply his presence, Poeun made a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to cross his path.

He was a man who believed in the power of family, the importance of kindness, and the value of hard work. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones, and he will be deeply missed by his partner, son, family, and friends.

A service will be held Saturday December 7th, 2024 from 1pm to 5pm at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home to celebrate his life and the love he so freely gave. A cremation will follow. Cambodian Buddhist Monks will officiate.
