Phyllis Joan Sizemore, 91, of Goshen died Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Waterford Crossing Healthcare.
She was born January 6, 1932, in Elkhart County to James William and Elsie (Gall) Weybright.
Following her graduation from New Paris High School, Phyllis joined the Brethren Volunteer Service and was sent to Flatcreek, Kentucky. It was there she met John Harlan Sizemore. They were married on August 24, 1951, in Flatcreek, Kentucky, and enjoyed 60 years of marriage before his death in September 2011.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandi Sizemore of New Paris, and Leah (Ron) Schrock of Goshen; a son, Randall (Terri) Sizemore of New Paris; four grandchildren, Randall, Jr. (Casey) Sizemore, Daniel (Carolyn) Sizemore; and Madison and Haley Schrock; six great-grandchildren, Sydney Elphick, Isaac Sizemore, Charley Grace Sizemore, Maddox, Sizemore, Benson Sizemore and Henry Sizemore; two sisters, Dorothy Baker of Wisconsin and Julia (Richard) Brookins of Goshen; and a brother, Dr. William (Susie) Weybright.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, James Sizemore; a grandson, John Howard Sizemore; two brothers, Gerald, and Robert Weybright; and two sisters, Opal Rowdabaugh and Evelyn Stouder.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen. There will also be one hour of visitation on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 beginning at 10 a.m. prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service at Maple Grove Community Church, 20430 C. R. 46, New Paris, IN 46553. Pastor Dwayne Runkle will officiate.
Burial will follow at Baintertown Cemetery, New Paris.
