Phyllis J. Lorenz

Phyllis J. Lorenz, 81, of Goshen, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016, at East Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born September 28, 1934 in Goshen to Ray and Esther (Priser) Swinehart.

On May 29, 1952 she married Merle Eugene Lorenz in Goshen.

He survives along with two daughters, Linda (Steve) Vlaeminck of Elkhart and Wanda (Jim) Clay of Union, Michigan; a son, Dennis (Joanne) Lorenz of Goshen; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy (Don) Surbey of Cleveland, Ohio; and two brothers, Earl Swinehart of Goshen and Lowell (Diane) Swinehart of Bristol.

A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Lorenz was a housewife and professional clown.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was a former member of the Dunkard Brethren Church.

Friends may call Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 5 p.m. until the 7 p.m. memorial service at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.  Pastor Terry Gunderman will officiate.

Cremation will follow the service and burial will be at a later date in Sugar Grove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association or Harbour Light Hospice.
