Phyllis J. Cook, 90, of Goshen, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Courtyard Healthcare where she had been since April.
She was born February 11, 1926 in Plymouth to John and Bessie (Dee) Webster.
On April 10, 1949 she married Arthur E. Cook in Plymouth. He died October 7, 1994.
She is survived by three children, Rebecca Cook of Dayton, Ohio, Gregory (Char) Cook of Goshen and Glen (Gail) Cook of Bainbridge Island, Washington and two grandchildren, Casey (Heather) Cook of Chicago and Cory Cook of Atlanta.
The last of 17 children, Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 16 siblings.
A Goshen resident since 1958, Mrs. Cook was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Goshen. She was also a member of VFW Post #985 and bowled in the Wednesday morning league for many years.
A 1944 graduate of Plymouth High School, she worked in the deli at Kroger’s for 15 years; at US Interiors for 10 years and then at Oxbow Park in her mid 80’s.
Friends may call Friday, August 19, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home where a 10 a.m., funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, August 20, 2016.
Burial will follow in New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.
