Phyliss J. Stump

Phyllis J. Stump, 80, of Goshen, died early Saturday morning, June 23, 2007, at Goshen General Hospital after a sudden illness.   She was born in Goshen, on July 12, 1926, to Clyde and Bernice (Mishler) Werner.  She marries Lloyd “Jack” Stump on July5, 1947, in New Paris.  He survives.   Mrs. Stump was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Goshen; Maplecrest County Club; Elcona Country Club; and a past member of Tri Kappa Sorority.   A homemaker, she worked as a secretary for Penn Controls in the 40’s.   She is survived by her husband, Jack; two sons, Tom W. (Karen) Stump of Goshen, and John H. (Tish) Stump of Syracuse; seven grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Marian Werner of Goshen.   She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Howard Werner in 2003.   Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 25, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.   A 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 26, 2007, funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home by Pastor Ed Fritz and Pastoral Assistant Pam Kling.   Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Elkhart County Humane Society or to New Hope Pet Rescue.
