Philip J. Stotts, 82,of Goshen, died unexpectedly of natural causes at his home, Saturday afternoon, February 2, 2013 . He was born June 23, 1930 in Elkhart County to Ray and Elannor (Quinn) Stotts. He married Betty Hower November 25, 1956 in Goshen. She survives along with two daughters, Cindy (Terry) Bates of Syracuse and Debra Stotts of Goshen; and a brother, William Q. Stotts of Goshen. A lifetime Goshen resident, Mr. Stotts retired from Johnson Controls after more than 50 years of service. He was a member of the Plymouth United Church of Christ and he volunteered with the Elkhart Township Fire Department. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory and burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Plymouth United Church of Christ. .
