Philip F. Schwab, 84, of Goshen, died Friday morning, July 10, 2015, at The Maples at Waterford Crossing. He was born August 2, 1930 in Warsaw to Frank H. and Albertine E. (Gerver) Schwab. On September 26, 1952 he married Mary Alice Thorpe in Goshen at the First United Methodist Church. She survives along with four daughters, Valli (Stan) Yoder of Kansas City, Missouri, Colleen (Mike) Schnell of Fishers, Lori (Dave Dickman) Snyder of Elkhart and Sharon (Gordon) Miller of Goshen; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother, William (Pat) Schwab of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by his parents. A 1949 graduate of Elkhart High School, he served with the U.S. Air Force from 1950-54. Mr. Schwab worked as a contractor in the modular home industry. His work was his hobby and it allowed him to travel all over the world. He also enjoyed reading. Friends may call Tuesday, July 14, 2015, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
