Philip Kilmer

Philip Kilmer, 64, of Goshen, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Tidewell Hospice House in Bradenton, Florida.

He was born February 19, 1953 in Goshen to Sanford and Clara Kilmer.

Survivors include his mother, Clara Kilmer of Goshen; two sons, Phillip Justin (Julie) Kilmer of Goshen and Benjamin Kilmer of Los Angeles, California; two grandchildren, Sofia and Deacon; a brother, Tim (Vanessa) Kilmer of Goshen; a sister, Melody (Robert) Woodard of Fruitland Park, Florida and girlfriend, Liz Silcox.

He was preceded in death by his father, a granddaughter, Ava Grace Kilmer and a sister, Jo Ella Troutman.

A graduate of Bethany Christian High School, Phil loved music.  He played in a couple of bands, including Santa Fe Trail Band and with the music ministry group at Community Church of Waterford.  In addition to music, Phil loved his sons, grandchildren and family.

Phil worked as a salesman for Spartan Food for about 35 years and as an assistant manager at Hardings Grocery Store.

Friends may call Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 3 until the 4 p.m. Celebration of Life service at Community Church of Waterford.  Pastor Chris Russell will officiate.

A private graveside service will take place at Violett Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the church.
