Peter L. Schmidt

Peter L. Schmidt, 82, of formerly of Goshen, died June 26, 2025.

He was born in Lancaster, Wisconsin on September 3, 1942, to the late Carl and Rethal Schmidt.

He married Charlene Witzig on August 4, 1962 in Lancaster, Wisconsin.  Charlene preceded Peter in death on July 10, 2009.

A Goshen resident for over 20 years, Mr. Schmidt worked as a sales representative for Skyline and several other companies.

He is survived by two sons, Michael (Rockell) Schmidt of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Rodney (Debra) Schmidt of Wakarusa; four grandchildren, Brent Schmidt and Jenna Schmidt and Levi and Lance Miller; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Judy Leeser, two brothers-in-law, Richard and Robert Witzig, and significant other Rose Bush.

There will be no visitation.

A private graveside service will be held at Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
