Peter Novachenko, Jr.

Peter Novachenko, Jr. 65, of Osceola, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Elkhart General Hospital.

He was born May 14, 1951 in Valencia, Venezuela to Peter and Olga (Forstina) Novachenko.

On October 2, 1971 he married Lori Detwiler in Elkhart.

She survives along with two children, Vanessa (Jamie Jr.) Hickner of South Bend and Peter (Angela Loftus) Novachenko III of Mishawaka; three grandchildren; his father; and a sister, Nancy (Fred Hachinski) Novachenko of Elkhart.

He was preceded in death by his mother, a sister, Tammy Wright and a brother, William Novachenko.

A member of Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Goshen, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Friends may call Friday, May 12, 2017, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m., funeral service at the church.

Burial will follow in Oakridge Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with funeral expenses.
