Penny Sue Mabie

Penny Sue Mabie, 61, formerly of Goshen died Monday, March 16, 2020.

She was born September 21, 1958 in Goshen to James and Fannie Mae (Weirich) Mabie. She was preceded in death by both of her parents.

Survivors include a brother, Ricky (Becky) Mabie of Mishawaka and many extended family members and friends.

Penny had worked in the nursing care industry.  She enjoyed creative stamping, making beautiful handmade cards for family, friends and church members who were home bound, hospitalized or grieving.  She was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching baseball, golf and NASCAR. She loved her dogs and was a member of a dog club for years.

An avid traveler, last fall she explored the North East visiting friends, family and classmates along the way.  She was a popular and trusted house and dog sitter while friends were away.

Penny was talented at utilizing Facebook to maintain relationships across the country, favoring cute animal and music videos, and inspirational quotes.

Penny escorted her mother, Fannie to meetings and special events at Bashor Children’s Home. One of her most fulfilling experiences was serving as a preschool teacher to her students, called Penny’s Penquins

A memorial service may be planned at a later date.
