Pauline Y. Truex

Pauline Y. Truex, 92, of New Paris, died Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Goshen Hospital.

She was born October 18, 1931 in Topeka to Iris Ray and Florence Mae (Yoder) Fought.

On April 10, 1955 she married Earl H. Truex in Goshen.

He survives along with two children, Joyce (Galen) Witmer, and Jeff (Ruth) Truex, both of Goshen; four grandchildren, Jason and Trent Truex, Rachel (Matt) Morrison and Ryan (Jane) Spencer; four great-grandchildren, Chase, Blake and Alex Morrison; five special step-great-grandchildren, Maxin, Aspen, Olivia, Sofia and Shad; and two sisters, Shirley Oswald, Goshen and Nancy (Don) Saylor, New Paris.

She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Dylan Morrison; three sisters, Hilda Irene Adair, Betty Rieder and Geraldine Gloor and six brothers, Gerald, Don, Richard Wayne, James, Kenneth and Leon Fought.

Pauline retired from Johnson Controls after 11 years of service. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, going to casinos. An avid Cubs fan also enjoyed camping and traveling.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 27 at 11 a.m. also at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at New Paris Cemetery.
