Paula F. Stoltzfus, 96, of Goshen passed away, Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at Greencroft Healthcare.
She was born March 5, 1927, in Mio, Michigan to William and Marie (Troyer) Handrich.
On May 10, 1951, she married Eli Stoltzfus.
He survives along with a son, Eric (Ruth) Stoltzfus of Goshen; a daughter, Robin Beachy of Thame, England; six grandchildren, Heidi (Michael) Stoltzfus McHugh, Gretchen (Jon) Stoltzfus Paulovich, and Eliya, Nicholas, Yosef and Alex Beachy; and five great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Bethany Stoltzfus; and four siblings, Donna, Vergil, Rhoda, and John.
Paula was an accomplished quilter. Her original quilts can be found in homes all over the U.S. and England.
Service was important to Eli and Paula. They spent much of their adult life in lay ministry in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. After Eli’s retirement, they served at various locations and times all over the U.S. She was a long-time hospice volunteer in Elkhart and Goshen.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023 beginning at 2 p.m. at Sunnyside Mennonite Church, 23786 Sunnyside Ave., Elkhart. Becky Helmuth will officiate. A time of fellowship will follow the service.
Burial will be at a later date in Fairview, Michigan.
