Paul W. Troyer, 101, of Goshen, died Wednesday afternoon, May 5, 2010, at Greencroft Healthcare. He was born in 1908 in Berlin, Ohio, to Daniel S. and Sarah Jane (Hershberger) Troyer.  He married Luella Hooley on October 11, 1931 in Middlebury at the Forks Mennonite Church.  She died March 2, 1996. He graduated from high school in Haven, Kansas.  Mr. Troyer worked for the US Postal Service and as an auto mechanic, retiring in 1973.  He was a member of Waterford Mennonite Church, Goshen, and was well known as a wood worker and craftsman. He is survived by two daughters, Dorcas (John) Merkle of Ohio City, Ohio, and Eunice (Ivan) Chupp of Goshen; five sons, Delton (Bonnie) Troyer of Mishawaka, Paul I. (Edith) Troyer of Elkhart, David R. (Sydney) Troyer of Las Vegas, Nevada, Walter (Linda) Troyer of Baltimore, Maryland, and Burl (Rhoda) Troyer of Elkhart; 13 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Debi Miller and eight siblings. Friends may call 3-5 p.m., Saturday, May 8, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Monday, May 10, at the church. A 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 10, 2010, funeral service will be conducted at Waterford Mennonite Church, Goshen.  Pastor Neil Amstutz and Tina Schlabach will officiate. Burial will be in Shore Cemetery, Shipshewana. Memorial contributions may be made to Waterford Mennonite Church.
