Paul "Pete" Stahly

September 12, 1942 — February 17, 2017

Paul Devon "Pete" Stahly, 74, of Sarasota, Florida and also of Goshen, Indiana passed away Friday, February 17, 2017 in Sarasota, due to congestive heart failure.

He was born to Paul Daniel & Elise (Hostetler) Stahly on September 12, 1942 in Wakarusa.

On January 11, 1964 Pete married Patricia Metzler.

She survives along with their children Shelly (Brian) Sharkey and Craig (Nicole) Stahly, both of Goshen; four grandchildren Jennifer (Ken) Williams, Brandon (Melissa) Sharkey, Drew & Ty Stahly; a great grandson, Wyatt Sharkey; and two sisters, Esther (Leon) Farmwald of Goshen and Darlene (Mark) Weaver of Newton, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ruth Weldy.

He retired from truck driving for NIBCO after 30 years.  He was also a reserve police officer for the Goshen Police Dept from 1967-1990.  He enjoyed camping, being with family, visiting local coffee shops, and collecting toy trucks.

Friends may call Saturday, February 25, 2017 from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church. Pastor Wes Bontreger will officiate
