Paul William Shank, 97, of Goshen, IN, died Monday evening, December 21, 2009, at Greencroft Healthcare, Goshen. He had been ill the past eight weeks.    He was born December 7, 1912 in Greencastle, Pennsylvania,  to Clinton and Edith (Rutherford) Shank. On June 14, 1936 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he married Edna Catherine Martin. She preceded him on December 8, 1991. A 1930 graduate of Greencastle High School, he attended and graduated from Columbia Business College in Hagerstown, Maryland in 1931.  Mr. Shank worked at Hagerstown Shoe Company for 18 years. He then worked at Mennonite Publishing House in Scottdale, Pennsylvania for 20 years before retiring from Menno Travel Service, Goshen, in December 1977. Mr. Shank moved to Goshen in 1970 and was a member of the College Mennonite Church, Goshen. He is survived by two daughters, Dottie (Duane) Kauffmann, Goshen, and Carol (Dan) Wolfer, Middlebury; three sons, Lowell Shank, Bowling Green, Kentucky, Philip (Carol) Shank, Fort Wayne, and Stephen (Donna Snyder) Goshen; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Lester Shank of Lititz, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Shank, and a brother, Earl Shank. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, and from 10-11 a.m., Thursday, December 24, in the Koinonia Room at College Mennonite Church, Goshen.  Pastors Lee and Betty Hochstetler will officiate. An 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 24, 2009, funeral service will be conducted at College Mennonite Church, Goshen.  Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to College Mennonite Church Jubilee Fund or Mennonite Central Committee.
