Paul Landis Ruth, 91, of Goshen, died early Friday morning, December 2, 2011, at IU Health Goshen Hospital where he had been since Wednesday. He was born April 19, 1920 in Hilltown, Pennsylvania to Arthur D. and Florence (Landis) Ruth. He married Marjorie Wienss November 20, 1953 in Beatrice, Nebraska. She survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Janet (David Krueper) Ruth of Corrales, New Mexico and Rita (Phillip) Rupp of Goshen; two sons, Douglas Ruth of Sunnyvale, California and Michael Ruth of Longmont, Colorado; six grandchildren; and two brothers, Marvin Ruth of Newville, Pennsylvania, and Ralph (Nan) Ruth of Perkasie, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Ruth. A member of College Mennonite Church, Goshen, Mr. Ruth started Menno Travel Service in Ephrata, Pennsylvania and worked with Mennonite Central Committee for more than 20 years. He also worked as an administrator of Fairmont Rest Home, Ephrata, Pennsylvania for 20 years. Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, December 4, in The Gathering Room and one hour prior to the 11:30 a.m., Monday, December 5, 2011, memorial service at College Mennonite Church, Goshen. Mr. Ruth's wishes were to be cremated. His cremains will be scattered at a later date in the College Mennonite Scattering Grounds. Memorial contributions may be made to Greencroft Foundation, Mennonite Central Committee or Goshen Care at Home Hospice.
