Paul Andrew Hunsberger of Goshen passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the age of 97.
He was born January 19, 1919 in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada to Noah & Mary (Shantz) Hunsberger.
He married Edna Martin at her home outside of Conestoga, Ontario on August 3, 1946.
Paul is survived by his wife of 69 years, Edna; a son, Ray (Mary) Hunsberger of Goshen; four daughters, Joy (Robert) Beiler and Gay (Sanford) Lehman of Goshen, Gloria (Jim) Schwartz of Aurora, Ohio, and Grace (Evan) Roth of Littleton, Colorado.
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Grace (Newton) Gingerich of New Hamburg, Ontario.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, John and David, a sister, Nina, and two granddaughters, Sally and Sarah Schwartz.
Paul displayed his love for Jesus from the early age of 4. He pastored a church in northern Ontario from 1946-1959 before moving to Goshen to continue his education. He pastored Tri-Lakes Chapel in Bristol for 10 years, after which he was involved in the ministry of Choice Books. He was bi-vocational, working as an electrician while he pastored churches and for many years after concluding his pastorates.
He was a member of College Mennonite Church.
Visitation will be Friday, May 27, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the College Mennonite Church Koinonia Room. An 11 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016 celebration of life service will be held in the church fellowship hall.
Memorial contributions may be given to the College Mennonite Church Jubilee Fund.
