Paul E. "Bud" Haines, 91, of Goshen, died Monday evening, May 26, 2014, at I.U. Health Goshen Hospital. He was born in Kosciusko County February 25, 1923 to Artie and Ida May (Detterman) Haines. On February 23, 1947, he married Frances Tulley in New Paris. She survives along with four children Michael (Christine) Haines, Clover, South Carolina, Jo Ellen (Rex) Eisenhour of Syracuse, Rae Jean (Ivan) Anderson of Goshen and Patrick Haines of Elkhart; three grandchildren, Joshua and Caleb (Lori) Haines and Travis (Charlotte) Eisenhour and a great-grandson, Riley Haines. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sara Eisenhour; three sisters, Edith Wertenberger, Ethel Yarger and Helen Wagoner; and three brothers, Donald, Everett and Robert Haines. A 1943 graduate of Warsaw High School, Mr. Haines served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a very active member of the New Paris Missionary Church since 1959. He worked for NIPSCO for 37 years as a lineman. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2014 and one hour prior to the 10 a.m., funeral service on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. Rev. David Hackney will officiate. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International.
