On the last weekend of May, Patrick Grant Miller, 41, transitioned peacefully out of this life. Patrick was born on June 8th, 1984, as a beautiful redheaded baby. From a young age, he was known for his quick mind, deep curiosity, informed wit, and love for mischief. A natural born leader, Pat was known throughout his neighborhood for his adventurous and courageous spirit.
Through his journey of 41 turns around the sun, he touched many lives with his wisdom, humor, and unwavering spirit. Often seen around town on his bicycle, Patrick was good natured and joyful, making a friend of any stranger. He believed us all to be a part of something larger, letting Love guide him through life. His taste in music was a reflection of his vibrant personality, with 2Pac, Outkast, Deltron, and so many more providing the soundtrack for his journey.
Patrick loved to frequent thrift shops and antique stores, with an inimitable eye for quality merchandise. He took pride in reselling, taking great enjoyment in the connections online resale brought into his life. However, his greatest treasures were gifted to friends, family, and community members in need during his time on earth.
A man of boundless energy and intelligence, Patrick lived a life of many passions. He became incredibly skilled working on his bike, as well as volunteering his time at Chain Reactions in Goshen. Over his many years living in Downtown Goshen, Patrick took joy in volunteering anywhere he could. Be it spending time in nature, volunteering at The Window, or going to the movies with his daughter, he chose to love life.
Despite many health challenges, Patrick remained resilient, independent, and grateful. He found joy in meaningful conversation, music, travel, and staying connected within family and community. Pat maintained a grateful heart, and an understanding of the universe few have.
Surviving brain surgery in 2017 after a stage 4 melanoma diagnosis, he beat all odds by doubling expectations, and for that we are eternally grateful. His powerful, magnetic energy touched everyone. The spirit of Patrick Miller lives on: unparalleled, shining and roaring like a great fire at times, or a gentle flame at others. Always shining. Always beautiful.
His remarkable life will forever be an inspiration, a testament to the power of an indomitable spirit enthused with curiosity and resilience. He touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing him. His resilient, generous spirit will be remembered forever.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that lives in all of us.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Sydney Perez-Miller, his father Gordon Miller, his mother Sharon Miller, his siblings: Ryan, Katherine, and Audrey Miller, his brother-in-law CJ Hanna, and niece Juniper Hanna.
A time of sharing will be held Saturday June 6, 2026 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home from 12-2pm with a memorial service to follow at 2pm.
