Granger – Patricia Ann Tubbs, 79, passed peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 2, 2026, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka.
Patricia was born May 1, 1946, in Goshen to Royal A. and Anna Mary (Neff) Wilhelm. On April 1, 1972, she married Van H. Tubbs at New Paris Church of the Brethren, beginning a life marked by devotion, partnership, and deep love for family.
For 40 years, Pat taught first grade at Concord West Side Elementary School, touching countless young lives and leaving a lasting impact on her community. She was a member of Delta Theta Chi Sorority, an adult sorority dedicated to promoting literacy. Pat found joy in crafting and treasured her collections of Longaberger baskets, vintage glassware, and Hummel figurines.
Pat and Van shared a love of travel, enjoying many cruises together and forming lasting friendships during their time in Sebring, Florida. Though she lived a full and active life, her greatest joy was always time spent with her family, whom she loved deeply.
She is survived by her husband, Van, her children, Kris (Tammy) Tubbs and Anna (Tony) Kridler both of Elkhart and her brothers, Thomas (Stephanie) Wilhelm of Goshen and Michael (Suellen) Wilhelm of New Paris. She is also survived by her niece, Nicole (David) Knouse, nephews Erik and Kevin Wilhelm, and her cherished grandchildren, Abby and Alex Kridler.
Services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home in Goshen. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Chaplain Raymond Tolosa will officiate. Cremation will take place at a later date.
