Patricia Jean Rider

Patricia Jean Rider, 91, formerly of Goshen, died August 21, 2019, in Venice, Florida.

She was born January 15, 1928 in Millersburg, to Vernon Ray and Margaret Meese.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Steve) Mowry and Pam (Dale) Riegsecker, both of Venice, Florida; a son, Mike (Sally) Brill, Advance, North Carolina; a step-daughter, D. Sue (Michael) Towne of Goshen; a step-son, Rick (Jeri) Rider of Elkhart; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, James L. Brill and H. Richard Rider; a son, Gregory A. Brill and five sisters, Betty Klingamen, Marci McCreary, Esther McKibbin, Katherine Price and Lavern Utley.

A longtime teller at Salem Bank & Trust, Mrs. Rider attended St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Goshen and Epiphany Cathedral Catholic Church, Venice.  She volunteered at both Goshen General Hospital and Venice Regional Hospital.

Visitation will be Monday, September 16, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.

A 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, graveside service will be conducted at Violett Cemetery.
