Patricia Penrose

Patricia Lou Penrose, 78, died Saturday afternoon, June 5, 2010 at University Medical Center, Louisville, KY.  She was born in Goshen on December 12, 1931 to the late James V. and Alice L. (Bull) Stump.  She married Dallas F. Penrose on September 11, 1948, in Goshen.  He preceded her in death on April 27, 1952.  Mrs. Penrose worked in the restaurant business, and for a short time, as a home healthcare provider.  She is survived by one daughter, Nanette West, Colorado; four sons, Michael (Gwen) Stump, Elkhart, Dallas Stump, Gibsonton, Florida, Dan West, James West, both of Colorado; one sister, Linda Burkhead, Goshen; one brother, Jack Stump, Goshen; two half-sisters, Lauralyn Parrish, Bean Blossom, Diana Taylor, Ellettsville; one half-brother, Michael Bowser, Columbus, Ohio; and two grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dean and Kent Stump; and an infant son, Jackie Lee Penrose.  Her body was cremated and a public graveside service will be held Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Whitehead Cemetery, New Paris.  Friends and family will meet at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m., and will go in procession to the cemetery for a 3 p.m. service.  Rev. Mike Overpeck will officiate.
