Patricia J. Morrison

Patricia J. Morrison, 80, of New Paris, died early Thursday morning, January 22, 2015 at her home. She was born January 9, 1935 in Akron, Ohio to Virgil C. and Alberta (Clayton) Smith. On July 17, 1953 she married Dallas N. Morrison, Sr., in Barberton Ohio. He died May 3, 2009. Survivors include a daughter, Sharma L. Spicher, of New Paris; a son, Dallas N. (Debra) Morrison, Jr., of Warsaw; two grandsons, Michael Morrison, of Schererville, and Jeffrey (Emily) Spicher, of Syracuse; two great-granddaughters; and a sister, Shirley Linebaugh, of Akron, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Gregory Morrison; two sisters, Joan Shafer and Karen Domin; and a brother, Robert Smith. Patricia was a member of First Brethren Church, Goshen. She enjoyed working with her husband Dallas for many years at Carter Lumber, New Paris. She loved to bowl and play cards with friends. Her two dogs held a special place in her heart. Her greatest joy came from her family, especially her grandsons and great-granddaughters. Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, and one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 funeral service at First Brethren Church, 215 W. Clinton St., Goshen. Burial will follow in New Paris Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be directed to the First Brethren Church Children's Ministry.
