Pastor Floyd W. Miller

Pastor Floyd W. Miller, 81, of Goshen died at his home early Tuesday morning, December 6, 2011. He was born October 31, 1930 in Sugar Creek, Ohio, to the late John H.N. and Sylvia (Mullet) Miller. He married Edna Christner October 10, 1953 in Goshen. She survives. Also surviving are five daughters, Miriam (Lee) Crisenbery of Goshen, Grace Graber of Hulett, Wyoming, Faith (TJ) Jenkins of Nappanee, and Gloria Miller and Nancy Miller, both of Goshen; two sons, Ted (Rose) Miller of Sheldon, Wisconsin and Tim (Karen) Miller, Tyler, Texas; 22 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Melva Wengerd of Dundee, Ohio, and Elsie (Roy) Beachy of Nappanee; and two brothers, James (Betty) Miller of Millersburg, Ohio, and Willard (Nora) Miller of West Lafayette, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a sister, Orpha Miller. A longtime area resident, Pastor Miller worked at Star Tank and Fleetwing; and taught at United Christian School. He also pastored at Bethel Mennonite Church, Sandy Ridge Mennonite Church and North Liberty Mennonite Church. A member of Griner Mennonite Church, he was a true prayer warrior. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday, December 10 at Yoder-Culp and one hour prior to the 2 p.m., Sunday, December 11, 2011, funeral service at Griner Mennonite Church, Middlebury. Pastors John Yoder, Robert Riegsecker and Harley Troyer will officiate. Burial will follow in Griner Cemetery, Middlebury.
