Pastor Franklin L. King, 61, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016, in a motorcycle accident on his way home from his ministry.
He was born February 17, 1955 in Goshen to Melvin and Betty Rae (Dudney) King.
Pastor Frank founded Mountain Top Community Church and Guidance Ministries in January 2000. He had a passion for people to be set free and serving Jesus. He always said he served the devil 100% and now he was going to serve Jesus 110%. He was truly a passionate man of God.
Pastor Frank leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Pastor Lori (Hoyt) King; three children, Chay King of Alexandria, Virginia, Joshua King of Redding, California and Nathanael King of Elkhart; five grandchildren; and a brother, Walter (Michelle) Butcher of Granger.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters, Cherry King and Amber Rozar.
A Sunday, November 6, 2016, memorial service will be conducted at Mountain Top Community Church, 216 North Second Street, Elkhart, starting at 3 p.m.
A private burial will be in Elkhart Prairie Cemetery, Goshen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Guidance Ministries.
Yoder-Culp Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
