Pamela L. Showalter went home to her Lord and to be with her mother and father, H. Dale and Shirley (Schweisberger) Showalter. on Friday, April 26th, while at Esther's House, Center for Hospice Care.
She was born January 7, 1953 in South Bend, and was a 1971 graduate of Penn High School, Mishawaka.
Pamela formerly worked at their family business, Showalter-Buick-GMC in Goshen.
She was a skilled artist with oil painting. She enjoyed designing, building and arranging wonderful and immaculate Christmas decorations. She loved to cook and keep people well fed.
On March 16, 2003 she married Lee Barker and resided in Elkhart, where they operated a Mac Tool franchise together.
He survives along with his sons, Andrew Barker, Worcester, Massachusetts, Curtis (Heather) Barker and Keith Barker, both of Tippecanoe, Indiana: and four grandchildren, Lily, Haley, Layla and Owen. Other survivors include a brother, Jeffrey (Paula) Showalter, Syracuse and two sisters Patricia Kaska, Mishawaka and Paula (Vince Doyle) Stanage, Goshen.
The family appreciated the tremendous care Pamela received at Esther's House, Elkhart.
A private graveside service will take place at Violett Cemetery.
