Owen R. Troyer, 85, went to be with Jesus, Monday, September 6, 2021, at Waterford Crossing Healthcare.
He was born February 17, 1936 in Nappanee to Rudy and Matilda (Kaufman) Troyer.
On May 18, 1957 he married Katie M. Miller at Clinton Frame Church, Goshen.
She survives along with a daughter, Renee Gonzalez of Goshen; a son, Arlin (Cathy) Troyer of Columbia, Tennessee; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Laura (Hubert) Miller of Goshen.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Ella Hochstetler, Irene Frye, May Birky and Susan Good; and two brothers, Albert and Bill Troyer.
A member of Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church for 52 years where he served on the church and deacon boards. He volunteered for World Missionary Press. He loved his grandchildren deeply.
Mr. Troyer was a plant production manager at Goshen Stamping for 26 years.
Visitation will be Friday, September 10, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 11, at 10 a.m. at the church. Pastors Arlin Troyer, Owen’s son, and Ken Bontreger, will officiate.
A private family burial will take place at West Goshen Cemetery.
