Othny L. Miller, 95, of Goshen, died Wednesday evening, January 11, 2006, at Greencroft Healthcare where she had been a resident since June 2003. She was born April 26, 1919 in Middlebury Township, Elkhart County, Indiana, to Harry and Millie (Miller) Kalb. On June 24, 1931 she married Virgil W. Miller. He died December 22, 1993. Mrs. Miller was a member of the Beulah Missionary Church and was well known for her fine handwork of crochet and knitted pieces. She is survived by a son, Larry E. (Gayle) Miller of Elkhart, two grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Opal Miller and Oneta Gardner, both of Goshen, and Oma Hershberger of Middlebury. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil; a daughter, Cheryl I. Miller; two sisters, Osie Hostetler and Olive Yoder; and five brothers, Oscar, Olin, Otis, Orville and Orla Kalb. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, January 13, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. An 11:00 a.m. service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2006, at the funeral home. Rev. Gordon Bacon will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Grove Cemetery, Middlebury. Memorial contributions may be made to Greencroft Foundation.
